Finding Myself in Ibiza
Author: SamI finally ventured out from my Ibiza Town hotel and walked around. I also finally came to the realization that all of my travel funk wasn’t without a positive side. Part of the reason I wanted to take on a world trip was that I wanted to try to figure somethings out. It’s not like I was unhappy in Arizona, but it wasn’t home for me, I felt I didn’t belong. I wasn’t being who I think I am. There was too much that I didn’t know about myself and I knew my answers wouldn’t come looking for me, so I set out to find them.
I have been having a lot of fun and I’ve noticed that I haven’t been worrying about looking for my answers. But, when then I finally reached a point where I asked myself, what is it I’m actually looking for? You know, the ‘why am I here?’ questions. I was beginning to analyze them with a very clear mind. And it’s been good. Anyway, my clear mind and I are heading out for our last night in Ibiza. I want to check up on my favorite DJ. I normally never like to go out to clubs alone, but that’s what’d I do in Arizona. But, I knew about 90 percent of the crowd on any given night. But, here I am, going to a club alone. It cost me 45 dollars to get in and one drink and I spent the rest of my budgeted money on 8 ounce bottles of beer. After I thoroughly enjoyed myself, I headed back to my hotel and packed to get ready to head for Barcelona. I’m pretty sure that with my new clear mind, that I’ll be finding more of myself as the journey continues.
