Manila Sunrise Festival
Author: SamManila is an extremely diverse and bustling city, one of the largest and densest on the planet, where a wide array of cultures and perspectives live and work. It has an energy that is often chaotic, and often enormously charming, but always difficult to turn away from. There is a splendid sense of the past and the future here at once, expressed through cultural traditions and enormous innovations. Thousands are drawn to Manila hotels to explore the city, and discover that there’s so much more to know and see here.
The Sunrise Festival is proof of its innovation, being in touch with the greening of the world on a global and local scale. This is a three-day events, where artists and participants gather to entertain each other, and start dialogues about sustainability and all the challenges that come with living in this particular moment.
Also called Tungo Sa Kapaligirang Maharlika , the events begin before sunrise every day. There are opportunities for yoga and tai chi in shared meditation, and then the activities of the day kick off. This is filled with live music, speakers who present information and alternatives to environmental challenges, discussions, and plenty of other forums in which to meet like-minded individuals looking to connect. Art installations are also included with this explosion of human creativity, to refresh the spirit for the long work ahead.
