If you like a drink out in the open air where you won’t run afoul of local drinking ordinances, then you may wish to avoid most of the United States; however, there are a few places where this combination of alcohol and fresh air are encouraged: Montana, Missouri, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, and – last, but not least – Nevada, all contain places which allow open-air drinking. Even so, it’s best to apprise yourself of the different areas so you won’t have a need to find an attorney to tutor you in matters such as Nevada Law.

Often, most states forbid possession or consumption of an open container of alcohol in a public place, namely the street. While police in college towns may look away during “tailgate parties” at football games, it’s best not to take a chance. Instead, travel to six states where open containers are legal.

In Savannah, Georgia, it’s permissible to drink one alcoholic beverage in an open plastic container in the Savannah Historic District (but no more than 16 ounces!); however, this is the only area in Savannah where it’s legal.

You might try Butte, Montana, which also doesn’t have an open container ordinance. Drinking in this fashion is allowed throughout the city, but the city does frown on open containers in vehicles. That’s not legal, but once you’re out of the car, you’re safe.

In Kansas City, Missouri, specifically the Power & Light District, a special Missouri state law allows you to get around the city’s laws against open containers, which allows you to possess and consume the beverages in an open plastic container. But be clear on this point: It’s allowed only in that area, and nowhere else in the city.

In New Orleans, Louisiana, you’ll find you may also drink and hold an alcoholic beverage as you roam the city’s iconic bars, such as might be found on Bourbon Street. The drinks just have to be in an open plastic container. In most of the cases cited so far, the drinks are allowed because the states have no public open container law. When that happens, the laws are up to the individual city.

In Fredericksburg, Texas, a small German town, you can drink in open containers in the shopping district of Main Street; however, the drinks are limited to beer or wine. Similar to Fredericksburg’s Main Street and New Orleans French Quarter, Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee is exempt.

The best place, though, to drink openly is in Nevada on the Las Vegas Strip. Unlike any other place, even in Nevada, city law allows you to possess and consume any alcoholic beverage on the street in an open container anytime during the year. The restriction? The container must be plastic for 4th of July and New Year’s Eve (and other days considered special events). Open containers are allowed in the rest of Las Vegas, too, but they’re restricted during some times of the year – except for the Strip, so be sure to check the times in case you roam off the Strip and find yourself in need of a Las Vegas lawyer.

New England has always held a certain fascination for people from the across the country, as well as beyond. It holds some of the earliest national landmarks and is known for its historical significance as well as its natural beauty and wonder. And for a large number of these people a beautiful road-trip across the New England countryside sounds like the perfect way to spend a couple of weeks during the summer. Just make sure you have your new wheels and a full tank of gas and you should be ready to go. Meanwhile, how do you choose your stops? There are plenty of beautiful beaches and ocean side attractions, as well as great historical landmarks. And this part of the country is well known for having some of the most inviting and cozy bed and breakfasts in the country.

As you head out on your adventurous summer road trip, one of the places you’ll want to visit is in one of the southern New England states, the beautiful state of Massachusetts. And while this state now has a strong reputation for its friendliness, beauty and progressive perspectives, it also holds the key to one of the country’s earliest tragedies. Although, the event in question, the Salem witch trials, occurred before the country was officially established. The majority of the accusations took place in and around Salem Village and Salem town in 1692, while the new continent was still under the complete control and domain of Great Britain . In fact, it was during a time of political instability, due to a lack of renewed charter from London, that many people consider to be a contributing factor to the social unrest that was to lead to these hangings.

It’s very easy to navigate the coastal area of Massachusetts and making sure you have enough tread on your tires , oil in your engine and snacks in your cooler, is just one of the maintenance check ins you’ll want to make regularly on your trip. Meanwhile when you’re in the area of the historic Salem Village, which is now Danvers, you’ll want to visit some of the standard landmarks. Among the places you can visit include one of the houses, which is still standing from the time, of one of the accused. The trial and hanging of Rebecca Nurse was one of the more controversial accusations of the time, and many people not only believed in but also argued her innocence. Another stop you’ll definitely want to make is to the Witch Museum . In addition to getting some great information, you’ll be guided through the trials and directed to other great landmarks. This is just one of your must needs stops on your road trip up and through beautiful New England.

Searching for Bisbee

Author: Sam

One of the more rewarding pleasures of having a wandering spirit is to lose track of the destination.  Although the idea that the journey is more important than the finish line is become something of a cliché, it is perhaps even more true now than it ever was.  Whenever there are dips in financial flows, people stat to reconsider how they do things, examining the things that were once taken for granted.

This is the kind of thinking that has lead people to look at Bisbee before.  It’s easy enough to trace the history back to when folks were coming to the historical Bisbee, when mining was lucrative enough to grow a town.  In its heyday, there were some 20,000 inhabitants, more than three times the size of today’s population.  Its smallness is still something of an attraction for more than just a few visitors, and its got certain charms that make guests wonder what it might be like to live there.

Of course, getting there is half the fun.  There’s a certain charm and danger about any kind of travel in the desert.  Although it’s nowhere near as tenuous as it used to be, there’s still something about the distance that suggests it’s not for everyone.  A little bit of knowledge of do it yourself auto repair helps, and an ability to follow some of the common sense laws of desert survival.  It’s 90 miles from Tucson, and although it’s not off the beaten path like it once was, it is far enough between things that one could get into trouble on an exceptionally hot day with some exceptionally bad luck on the road.

The appeal there lies in a combination of old and new.  There is a historical interest in the old west for people from all over the world, and living in those spaces has a tendency to make that interest only grow deeper.  At the same time, Bisbee has held a certain idealized status as an artist mecca for the residents in the more populous nearby cities (and here, this can mean Tucson, or Phoenix, or Los Angeles, and all the in-betweens).  It is an in-between place, in more ways than one.

New developments, like Brodesky’s new performance space, mean that it is continually growing and evolving, and sometimes it feels like it’s really on the edges of contemporary culture.  A steady stream of tourists helps keep the local economy going, and this means constantly investing in the things of the past.  It’s also neither too big to be considered a city, nor too small to be considered a rural outpost, but just enough of both to keep things interesting.  It’s definitely worth the drive, even if it does just prove that, once again, the destination is not as important as the journey, and here, the journey is delightful.

Moving to a New City

Author: Sam

The three main reasons most people move to a new city include better career opportunities, including having already landed a new job, going to school, and moving because to be near family members. There are other reasons of course, these are just typically recognized as the top three. Health reasons are sometimes tied with or even surpass moving to be near family. Without needing to argue or justify the reasons people move to new cities, it’s easy to understand there are common elements and stress factors involved. Regardless of why you plan your move, and how much support from TransGlobe Property Management Services you receive, there is a lot of work to do.

Depending on the size of your family and the amount of personal belongings you possess, the process of packing up and preparing your items for the move is a project unto itself. Full families with pets can have an extremely difficult time packing up there belongings as well as determining which items are suited for the yard sale, which in itself is a whole new project. Single individuals may seem like they have it easier, and depending on your age, resources and amount of personal items you’ve collected through the years, this may or may not be true. However, and probably hands down, any married couple with three kids, two cats and a dog will likely argue the difference between the two.

In addition to the packing and sorting through your belongings, including the corresponding yard sale, there are other important tasks related to both moving into and out of a new home. Making arrangements with movers, or reserving a Uhaulor Budget Truck are actually the easiest of most move related tasks. In addition you have to contact all of your service providers, including home utilities, drivers’ license, insurance, etc and makes sure that your information is changed, or that you shut off and discontinue the service at the appropriate time. And then of course, establishing new services and having them ready when you move in is waiting for you at the other end of the road.

Moving Truck by The Muuj

With so many of these mundane details hanging over one’s head as they prepare to move, it can be easy to get lost in them and forget the reason you’re moving in the first place. Starting a new career in a new town carries inherent stress, though it is also extremely exciting and represents the start of a new phase in your life. This is also a major aspect of moving to a new city to go to school. And of course when that’s the case, some of the overall move tasks remain the same, though the actuality of the process is guaranteed to be a fraction of what a family or older and established adult will go through. Regardless of all the details and tasks you must complete, remember that your move is a also a life progress transition, enjoy the process as much as you can. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for a career change, you can always check out the available positions at Transglobe, after all, a career in the field can only better prepare you for your own move.

Great cities across the globe are noted for some general characteristics. Some of these cities are recognized for their historic importance, and corresponding landmarks that frequently go along with it. Other cities are honored for various aspects of their culture and contributions to the world. Cities like Paris have a few iconic associations, art, food and romance. While most of the world’s great cities have a specific twist on the standard characteristics, they all have one or more of them and are iconic for them. One thing that stands out as a major aspect of New York is its architecture. Next day blinds is a standard feature of popular buildings, homes and architecture, and New York City is full of designs that stand out above among others. In addition, the very mention of New York, brings other obvious aspects to mind. Among them, and at the top of the list, is likely to be the theatre scene. Another is the great shopping, art museums and international cuisine. Of course the list might go on, but the aspects that were just mentioned supports the comment that most of the world’s great cities have similar iconic aspects, though each has their own particular spin.

Meanwhile, the architecture of New York represents not only some of the most beautiful in the world, but also the diversity that the city itself stands for and symbolizes. Every great city has an incredible sky line, and New York’s is one of the most famous and easily recognized throughout the world. Among some of the more well known buildings found in the city are the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building and the Lincoln Center. These are just three of the great buildings that are easily recognized in the city’s skyline and all are popular with tourists. The Chrysler Building is one of the most famous icons in the city. Interestingly, it is also the one that people will most likely not know it’s name, but recognize it by site. It has an Art Deco design and was actually the tallest building in the world, for eleven months, before The Empire State Building was constructed in 1931. The Empire State Building is a 102-story icon located at the corner of 5th Avenue and West 34th Street. It also happens to be one of the most famous landmarks in the world, and one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions. The Lincoln Center is home to the Metropolitan Opera House as well as Avery Fisher Hall. You can visit all of these and many more famous buildings while you’re in New York, and a simple tour on one of the buses will guide you past them and include an interesting story about their history and significance to the city. Designing any one of these buildings is the feat of a lifetime. Next Day Blind coupons allows similar accomplishments for your own home.

Amusement Park Safety

Author: Sam

Millions of people walk through the gates of amusement parks in the United States every year. The chance to spend a day or a week in the company of family or friends with no intent but to enjoy themselves is irresistible. Although there is no centralized reporting, the fact is that Theme park accidents happen every day — and at every park. Park guests need to be aware of the risks and take appropriate precautions to minimize their chances of getting hurt.

Most accidents are of the minor variety . People fall or bump into something or someone. They get a bruise, a scrape, or maybe a minor cut. Muscles are pulled or strained and sometimes kids end up with a bump on their head. A vast majority of these incidents go unreported. However, most of these could be prevented by guests staying alert to their surroundings and following all park rules.

Other hazards to be avoided at parks include heat-related health problems, theft, and aggravating existing medical conditions. Awareness and preventative measures can go a long way in these cases as well. Sunblock , water, hats and shade will help avoid sunburn, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Staying alert for pickpockets and other thieves is a good practice in any large public space. Following park guidelines as to which health conditions are at risk on certain rides and carrying appropriate medications and medical equipment are also a good idea.

While no one wants to be a killjoy at an amusement park, taking a few precautions won’t really spoil anyone’s fun, and it could be the difference between an enjoyable visit and having to deal with an injury or illness.

It’s a rather wonderful thing these days to eat lunch in Washington, DC. The city has always enjoyed a rather impressive selection of first-class restaurants, giving plenty of choices to working politicians and visitors staying at Washington business hotels . It’s been a little more than difficult, however, for the ones who are living here or visiting that aren’t able to write off the meal. And even the wealthiest of citizens might like to scale things down every now and then.

The rise of the food truck in contemporary culture has coincided with the overall need to simplify, and reduce one’s living expenses. It makes sense, and it’s also a terrific thing that opens up a lot of choices. One can find a relatively low-cost meal, that’s often very close to gourmet, prepared by some excellent chefs with knowledge and experience of what’s good to eat.

They also make sense for the new business owner, because they do offer a lower cost with less overhead, and there’s plenty of room to grow. One of the main difficulties, however, has been with negotiating the city’s ordinances. They have to remain mobile , not parking for more than 30 minutes at a time, and a number of other prohibitions.

But these restrictions also offer opportunities to become more savvy, using things like Twitter to alert loyal customers to locations, and keep the information flowing along with the spectacular food.

One of the gems of Boston’s film community is the Brattle Theatre. Located in Harvard Square the Brattle Theatre is dedicated to showing art-house, cutting edge, foreign, and classic films, including new releases of classic films and some first-run films. Although the Theatre has been in existence since 1953, the Brattle Film Foundation, which was formed to run the Theatre as a non-profit, is only 10 years old. On 10-10-10 the Foundation will be celebrating their 10th Anniversary with a Mini-Fest.

In Brattle tradition, the Mini-Fest will run all day and highlight the high quality and diverse cinema that has made the Theatre into Boston’s Unofficial Film School . The Mini-Fest kicks off with a free cartoon program at 11am, timed not just to appeal to families, but to coincide with Oktoberfest, an annual Harvard Square tradition. Throughout the day the Fest will screen something from every genre the Theatre is known for: documentary, cult, world, independent, and classic films will all be celebrated, with a full schedule to be announced soon.

The Brattle has become known not only to residents in Harvard Square, but attracts people from all over the area, including those staying in Boston hotels or visiting area universities. The cornerstone of the Theatre’s programming is a repertory programming format that groups films by genre, subject, or director and screens them in a weekly series or a series on the same day throughout a given month.

There are a lot of current and historical events that are worth exploring when it comes to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem . Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths all consider this site to be sacred for their faiths. There are many old testament events that are said to have taken place in the area of the Temple Mount.

The words of faith are deeply intertwined with these three religions all over the Temple Mount. This is, after all, where it all said to have begun. Right here in the heart of Jerusalem. Whether one reads the Bible, the Quran or the Torah all of the teachings lead back to this one spot of the whole world. So many stories of Temples and Churches going up and burning down. Religious leaders giving their famous speeches on top of this hill.

Today, there are still battles going on in the world between these religions and there are many people traveling to this land to see what the fight is all about. It seems that everyone should learn about what has gone on in this land as a way to understand the fight that is happening today.

This is the center and there are plenty of Jerusalem hotels to stay in to discover what your truth is when it comes to Jerusalem and the Temple Mount.

Vienna is one of Europe’s historic cities with an amazing contemporary atmosphere and beautiful cityscape that belies its complicated somewhat troubled history. There are many prominent performance companies in the city and it also known for having attracted some of the greatest writers , composers and performers throughout history. Denver’s Four Mile Historic Park is worth an afternoon visit for the whole family. Located at 715 S. Forest Street, nestled on the banks of Cherry Creek, is the Four Mile House. This was the last stop along the Cherokee Trail when coming west to Denver. The park preserves 3 barns complete with root cellars and chicken coops on 12 acres of land.

Children will enjoy panning for gold or pick a pumpkin when in season. There are carriage rides available on weekends and the park provides guided tours of the Four Mile House, which is the oldest standing home in Denver and a welcoming site back in the mid 1800s for weary travelers. It was a place to wash off the dust, have a cool refreshing drink of water, eat a home-cooked meal and spend the night before making a grand entrance into Denver.

Today, this 12-acre site continues to educate visitors about the pioneers of the past. This Denver Landmark not only offers tours of the house and barns, but is the place where most residents of Denver celebrate the 4th of July and find it a great place to ‘get away’ from all their city affairs and relax at the farm style setting in the middle of the city.

If you’re a visitor, you’ll not only appreciate the Denver hotel rates offered by the hotels closest to the Four Mile Historic Park, you’ll appreciate this respite from all the exciting that Denver delivers to the locals and visitors alike. Four Mile Historic Park is open all year around.

For anyone who loves the Great NorthWest, and also has a taste for beer, the event of the summer season happens late in July in Portland. The Oregon Brewers Festival is always on the last full weekend, and it’s four whole days of beer. Of course, this is Portland, so it’s not just any ordinary beer, but fine hand-crafted ales, pilsners, and stouts, among many other kinds and varieties. There are usually over 80 vendors from all over the country giving tastes of their best batches, and these can be anything from bigger names in microbrew to the smaller brewers.

It’s a dedication to the craft that was developed by monks from centuries ago, and the dedication brings a rather dedicated following. Visitors looking for bargains in Portland hotel rates might decide that this is one event that’s worth splurging on, although the tickets are really rather reasonable. Excess is neither expected nor encouraged, as the point is, like in a wine tasting, to sample a bit of everything, so that visitors can decide what their next favorite beverage might turn out to be. Portland is a city where the good life has a high value placed on it, and the microbrews are just one example.

There are parades and pageants and lots of good food.

When vacationing in Orlando Florida you will need to find some city maps . The city is crazy with tourist attractions and theme parks everywhere. It is not as bad as some parts of California, but for the most part it is pretty hard to find your way around if you don’t know where you are or how to get to where you want to be. Part of the problem is actually not a matter of what has been put up in recent years and has more to do with the natural topography of the land in the first place. There are still a number of areas that have swamp in the middle of the city. Some of it has been cleaned up and turned into ponds, but you still don’t want to wade in those waters. There are a number of streets that have to stop suddenly because of the water ahead.

The best suggestion is that you buy your map ahead of time. There are places on the internet that will get you a map before you get there. This will let you better plan where you want to go. Find the location of the parks, attractions, restaurants and anything else that sparks your interest. You may even want to try to locate where a a gas station is near your hotel if you plan on renting a car , or find a bus route and draw it on your map if you plan on relying on public transportation to get around the city.

If you are traveling to Orlando from anywhere else by car or if you plan on leaving the city for a day of sight seeing you may want a Florida map . While there are some people who prefer the paper maps still for the drive, there are also those who prefer electronic maps. No matter which way you go the most important thing is that you have one because it can save you a lot of time and keep you from running around lost in the middle of the night while you try to even find the city that your hotel is supposed to be in. It is experiences like that which can ruin a vacation for a day or two.

Tasting NYC

Author: Sam

For signs of life, New York has more of these than any other city, perhaps, being one of the most famously furious-paced cities in the world. It’s a constantly changing backdrop, where the citiscape turns into new vistas and distinctive neighborhoods, and the people are always coming through by the thousands. For every life there are a thousand stories, and it takes at least one to mine all that happens inside one point of view.

For signs of the good life, New York can also accommodate. It’s a very difficult place to live for those who aren’t fabulously rich, with the constant displays of conspicuous consumption. It’s very tempting to indulge, but one of the great things about being on vacation is that this is the right opportunity to enjoy.

One of the great things that the city can offer for this is the tasting menu. For anyone who likes fine dining, but always feels jealous when looking around at the choices other people have made, this is the thing to satisfy that curiosity. The Italian spot Marea has been a hot spot for awhile now, but even more so with its award for the best tasting menu in the city for 2010. This is 12 courses, at roughly ten dollars a course, and they make sure that everyone can taste the small bites that make mouths insanely happy. They also provide that everyone is more than full at the end.

11 Madison Park , sometimes called simply “EMP,” is a big winner just in terms of the look of the food, but the combinations of flavors will make anyone forget anything bad that ever happened in the world anywhere. And Le Barnardin has always enjoyed making their guests swoon with the elaborate offerings on their lunch and dinner tasting menus.

It’s a difficult choice if one decides to indulge in this mind-blowing event just once, but with the plethora of fabulous restaurants in the city, it’s an amusement park for the tongue. A selection of restaurants that is rivaled only by the selection of NY hotels makes it seem as though the good life is not only on the way, but just moments away.

Rockville Cemetery

Author: Sam

The city of Rockville is an interesting place. With a very high quality of living, it has a rather active local community that works hard to keep the downtown area thriving. It’s a city that’s not simply meant for people to hole up and relax while they’re not working. It’s a city for living, and enjoying the finer things in life. That’s one of the qualities that makes it so appealing to visitors staying in Rockville hotels , drawn by the attractions of today, and the stories of its rich past.

One of its more famous residents is F. Scott Fitzgerald. Of course, to those who love the literary legend, his real royal stomping grounds had their locus in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he was born. This is the town where he and Zelda had many of their most wonderful moments, and also some of the more unsettling ones. They did the same in Paris, famously, and finished out their long and tender night in Hollywood. They both reside today in Rockville, where their bodies are interred at Rockville Cemetery.

Peerless Rockville is a local non-profit that’s entirely devoted to historical preservation projects in town. It’s largely because of their efforts that the gravesite is here. While he wasn’t born here, his roots were here on his father’s side, and he spent a number of tangents in his literary life coming back to this area. It seemed to give him a lot of solace, and it’s rather fitting that his end is marked here in Rockville.

Every year, the Fitzgerald Literary Conference takes place here. It’s a one-day event in the fall, where academics, critics, and fans gather to honor the great writer and his works. It’s also an opportunity to pay respects at his grave. It’s something of an attraction, where his devotees visit and leave gifts of cigarettes and liquor, so that he and Zelda can continue the party.

Hiltonhead has plenty of secrets, with a vast web of interlocking mysteries that make it one of the most interesting places in the country to visit. The history of cultures here is as complex as the Gullah language, and the present is a reflection of multiple pasts. For most visitors, however, it’s a place to have a marvelous time, and there’s something for every guest, of any age.

Any place where one can enjoy a long stroll on the beach, looking out at the Atlantic Ocean, or enjoying forests and salt marshes in the same afternoon, can’t be all bad. Add to this some splendid wildlife watching, which includes a wide array of birds, alligators, and dolphins, and it’s hard to imagine any other paradise. But there’s also a tremendous sense of community spirit here, too.

It’s often the case where towns that see their populations double and triple during the height of the tourist season will exist just to serve the guests. And although a good deal of the city’s economy is based on tourism, there are generations living here who are very close to the place. It’s not just a place to visit, although the luxury Hiltonhead hotels are worth visiting any time of the year. Performers like Gregg Russell have wonderful things to offer the visitors, but they also speak for the place in a way that no one else can.

Charles Fraser, a developer and an environmentalist, worked to protect a very old tree, the Liberty Oak, rezoning and restructuring plans, demonstrating the level of his commitment. It’s probably unusual to have the combination of developer and green activist in the same person, but it’s an unusual place. He was even buried next to the tree that he worked to save. It’s under this tree that Russell has given plenty of concerts over the years. It’s mostly music for children, and Russell also heads up an organization called Hilton Head Heroes , to offer vacations for very ill children. It’s a community that’s in action.

There’s much more to Miami Beach than meets the eye, much more than any surface can suggest. The ocean is always near, and no one knows what lies on the bottom of the ocean. There’s always more, and it’s always in flux, like the waves on the beach, or like waves of sound. These waves do merge, and separate again only to merge somewhere further down the shore. This is where an organization like Subtropics can show itself not as visionary, but entirely reactionary, responding to the music in the air and in the land and sea.

It is an infectious rhythm, the city of Miami Beach contains multitudes of sounds that echo from all corners of the cultural map. They’re heard every night in the bars and discos and clubs. The club scene is one of the reasons why people come to stay at a Miami Beach hotel , looking for a chance to get away from the sounds of the city and experience something that will take them out through dancing for a little while.

The intense creativity of the locals are the sturdy foods of the music scene, and underneath the mango tree there are the root vegetables, a representation of the ones who mine the area for lost sounds. These sound artists come through the presentations Subtropics bring to the city, events like Subtropicalia . Here, there are the new music artists for an age where digital meets earth consciousness, circuit-bending as a means of combining all the gee-whiz of contemporary technology with the glocal aesthetic that looks at sustainable futures.

It’s not new, not for here, with 20 years of festivals behind them, and hopefully, many more to come. In the meantime, where there are young kids interested in something besides the usual MTV rhythms, there are outlets here for spectators as well as the new artists, and a place where visionaries can find themselves in good company.

When one has visited all of the major attractions in New York City such as the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building and the Brooklyn Bridge and has shopped at all the must shop places around the city, it may be time for a more local view. The locals shop and visit these places as well but they have daily lives that are rich with the New York experience as well. They like to enjoy all of the different neighborhoods in the city. Each area has such a different feel.

While you are visiting a accommodating hotel catch a cab to the West Village. This neighborhood will take you back to the early 19th century. It is filled with cozy brownstone buildings lined with cobblestone streets that seem to have been unchanged for a hundred years now. The only changes to the area are the new markets and cafes that modern times has created. Get a map while visiting the streets in this neighborhood because they don’t follow the normal street grid or not. Just wondering with no direction works as well, you can always catch a cab who can get you back to your hotel. Some of the things to see along the way are the Jefferson Market Courthouse, the Magnolia Bakery and the Spotted Pig for a case beer.

If your a film lover you may have already taken some of the tours that get you to all the sights where your favorite films were made. Another element for film lovers to enjoy is the Film Forum . It has been around for forty years now and has been a leading independent film movies house from the start. Check out some of the masterpieces from film makers who get to make what they want, they way they want. This is a true film art experience that shows films one might other wise never see. This is were making time for what the locals contribute to the city is at its best.

I couldn’t believe the way my husband proposed to me. It was two years ago and the whole event was not only completely unexpected, but the manner in which it occurred was borderline crazy. But then I guess that shouldn’t have surprised me as my husband Joshua is a bit crazy himself. Anyway, he told me that he had to visit some relatives in Palmdale, California. That’s how the whole thing got started. I didn’t even know he had relatives in Palmdale, but he told me it was important that he go. He said it was his aunt’s birthday or something. Then he asked me if I would go with him, which I agreed to do and was always interested in meeting his family. Oh, yeah, I remember I was actually kind of flattered because he was only my boyfriend at the time and he wanted to take me to this major family get together.

So we arrived in town and he pulls up to one of the most luxurious looking hotels Palmdale . I thought that seemed like a pretty odd place to hold the meeting, or whatever it was and knew it was too nice for us to be staying at. However, he parked and we walked in and then checked into a room. And it was so nice I could have stayed in it all weekend, but I still thought we were meeting his aunt for dinner. So we got ready and Josh asked me to wear something nice. I was a tad insulted because of course I was going to look nice to meet his family, but I figured he might be nervous or something so I didn’t think anything about it.

One of the things I noticed immediately about the city of Palmdale was all the great parks and recreational areas . It seemed so peaceful and pleasant I really thought it was going to be ideal for the reunion. We passed a couple of skate parks and I saw a few skaters out and made a mental note to come back and watch them. I think skateboarding is incredibly fascinating to watch. Okay, so I’m really sorry but his is actually going to have to be a two part story. I hope you’ll stay interested and will be back for the conclusion of my husband’s wedding proposal. And I mean that phrase as the proposal was really more about him than me.

While visiting Virginia if you are in the mood for an extreme thrill ride then a stop at Busch Gardens is in your future. This theme park is renowned for its large size and adrenaline pumping rides. The theme park is good for a day out with the entire family because Busch Gardens has rides and areas set aside for people of different ages and interest.
There is a ride called the Alpengeist and this roller coasters goes up to 195 feet up in the air before sending the riders through a series of loops and turns reaching up to 67 miles per hour. It has been voted into the list of top ten roller coasters on the planet. There is another coaster called Europe in the air and on this ride the continent’s most recognizable landmarks will be featured, like Stonehenge in England, the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany and the Coliseum in Rome. The voyage continues through the streets of Paris, along the Thames River, and into the sky over Ireland for a view unlike any other experienced on a ride or anywhere else. Another thrilling ride is the battering ram and the ride resembles a pendulum as it goes back and forth gradually increasing its height and speed. It is decked out in an medieval back ground to resemble the old days.
One of the most popular rides at Busch Gardens happens to be called the Loch Ness Monster, but unlike the mythological creature this ride is not hard to find. It is very easy to find actually and that is most likely due to its enormous size as it reaches up 3 stories tall before racing those who challenge it down a 114-foot drop, with speeds as fast as 60 miles per hour. The Loch Ness Monster sounds exciting but there are many other rides to check out . Also, be sure to check out to find a great hotel room. However, if you find a hotel there be sure to get a full nights rest and leave out early in the morning because there is a two hour ride between Albemarle and Busch Gardens,
